Travel Info from airports to Intercontinental Times Square Hotel

There are several ways to get from Newark (EWR) Airport to our hotel in New York City.:
(scroll down for information from JFK and LGA)

The first option is private transportation which I can help you arrange. The cost of a sedan, which can accommodate up to 4 passengers and 4 medium sized bags, is $190 ($160 going to Newark); which includes tax, toll, and gratuity. For larger parties, there are SUVs which fits up to 7 passengers and 7-9 medium bags and costs $202 ($175 going to Newark). For other vehicles, including vans and stretch-limousines, please contact us, and we can find out rates for you. Whichever option you decide on, the driver would meet you at baggage claim with a sign with your name on it to assist you with luggage. If you would like to use this service, please call us directly at our concierge desk to make the arrangements. This service must be paid for at the time of reservation. It unfortunately cannot be applied to the hotel bill.

The second option is a taxi. Unfortunately, you cannot pre-arrange a yellow cab. You would need to collect your bags from baggage claim and then go outside to the taxi stand and wait in line. The fare would be $55 (+tip and tolls) and would take about 45 minutes.  Please be aware, most taxis can only fit 4 passengers and 4 medium sized bags. The cost to return to the airport with a taxi is a approximately $95, though because there are no fixed rates using yellow cabs, we can only provide an estimate.

The third option is to use a shared ride shuttle. The shuttle would cost $25 per person (+ tip) and travel from the airport to the hotel; being a shared ride, the vehicle will stop at other hotels and drop off other passengers. To book the shuttle, please visit this link:https://www.cityexperts.nyc/ While we do list this service for your consideration, we do remind you that the total trip in takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

The fourth option is to travel on New Jersey Transit (Public Transportation).  From EWR, you could either take the Express Airtrain to New York Penn Station ($13 Adults/$9 Children & Seniors) then transfer to the NYC Subway System Uptown “A” or “C” or “E” train ($3 per person), which will take you to “42nd street-Times Square”. We are directly above the 44th street/8th avenue entrance.

The last option is to take the Newark Liberty Airport Express, which is an express bus that makes only one stop in the city at 41st street between 8th and 9th avenues (from there, we are about 6-8 minutes by foot). It is a great balance of fast and economical @ $17 per person. A good choice for 1-2 people traveling with light luggage.
