Montana Vasquez-Grinnell, Ed.D, is an educator who has worked in outdoor education spaces for over 15 years. Her love of hands-on education began with exploring nature, as a child, on class trips out and grew as a teacher's assistant at a Reggio Emilia school. Now, she is the Science Department chair and Director of the STREAMS program at Gill St. Bernard's School along with her work as the Middle School Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Coordinator.

 

 

 

Leila Bailey-Stewart is currently the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education Officer at Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. In this senior leadership role, Leila is responsible for leading a team through the transformative work of enhancing academic programming at BB&N by increasing equity, inclusiveness, and social justice school-wide. Leila served on the Board for GLAD. Through strategic litigation, public policy advocacy, and education, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders works in New England and nationally to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation.

Previously Leila served as the Vice President of Leadership Development where she co-developed strategies for the organization around diversity, equity, and inclusion. Before that, she served as the Vice President of Recruitment and Admissions at City Year. In her role, Leila focused on developing and strengthening City Year’s national recruitment and admissions strategy. She led a national team implementing all aspects of recruitment and admissions, including prospect engagement, partnership development, diversity, campaign execution, selections, interviewing, and communications.

Above all else, Leila is a loving wife and mother. She lives by the belief that "family is first"! She leans on her Christian faith and is a fierce advocate for social justice and education equality; which drives her to continue her work in schools and the nonprofit sector.
