Global Institute
The inaugural ISEEN Global Institute launches in October 2021. ISEEN’s vision of transformative teaching and learning in an interconnected world is coming to light through a partnership with ISEEN member, Chadwick International School for the inaugural gathering in Songdo, South Korea.
The Global Asia-Pacific Institute will assemble around 100 experiential educators and classroom teachers from around the region (and the world!) to develop a foundation in experiential education and connections within the region through an experiential and immersive four-day “unconference”.
Outcomes of the Institute:
- Foundations in experiential education pedagogy
- Grounding in definition, skills, and practices of experiential education
- Understanding ExEd in the context of the local culture
- Learning about the host school’s community and experiential education practices
- Connect, network, and share best practices with other educators practicing/interested in experiential pedagogy
The Global Institute is geared towards independent school and international school administration, faculty, and staff that work in a variety of program areas. Programming is relevant to all strands of experiential educators including:

- Service-learning/community engagement
- Student leadership
- Sustainability programs
- Classroom teachers
